New South Family Supper
Sunday, April 12, 2015
Summerland Farm
Cartersville, GA

Each Spring, Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison host the New South Family Supper, a benefit for the Southern Foodways Alliance. This year, the supper will celebrate the unsung heroes of the restaurant world, like dishwashers, waiters, valets, hostesses, and bussers.  All impact the dining experience, but few are recognized and celebrated for their work. Farmers are finally beginning to get their due. Now it’s time to celebrate those people Martin Luther King Jr called “members of the ground crew.”

There will be ham. And biscuits. And fresh vegetables. And cold libations. There will also be a screening of Red Dog, a profile of 2014 Ruth U. Fertel Keeper of the Flame Award winner Goren Avery of Highlands Bar & Grill in Birmingham, Alabama.

Diners will gather in Atlanta for the bus ride out to Summerland Farms. The most incredible road trip snacks you’ve ever tasted will be provided, as well as something to wet your whistle (because, of course, you’re not driving).

Tickets, priced at $250 each, will include food, beverage, and programming. Click here to purchase your tickets online.
